Our History
Sullivans Two Unlimited began in the early ’70s and was established in 1982.
Jack “Sully” Sullivan moved here from Charlotte, NC, where he was a crew chief and mechanic for Holman-Moody. His cars piloted by Fireball Roberts, Freddy Lorenzen, and others won races such as the Daytona 500, Bristol, Richmond, Darlington, and others. He also worked on Marine racing engines, Scarabs & basically anything that had an engine.
Jack and his equally talented son, Scott, went into business and started Sullivans Two Unlimited in 1982. What set them apart, in the beginning, was their ability to work on import vehicles. That included BMW, VW/Audi, Volvo, and the new back then to the US market Asian imports Subaru, Honda, and Toyota. They were specialists because no shop strayed from the “Big Three,” meaning Chevy, Ford, and Chrysler. To them, it was an engine with a different hood.
Today Sullivans Two Unlimited continues that tradition.
We have more experience in foreign manufacturers than any other shop in the area. But we don’t only repair foreign vehicles. We repair almost all late-model vehicles performing most tasks from a simple oil change on a Buick to timing chains on an Audi Q5 2.0 Turbo. We have dealer-level diagnostic equipment, quick access to quality parts, and a warranty on our services.
Our Team
Our technicians have 60 years combined association with our operation and over 80 years combined experience working on vehicles.
On the more challenging diagnostics, that experience comes together for a rapid solution. On less challenging tasks, a technician with over 20 years of experience changes your vehicle’s oil and inspects its overall condition. As a recurring customer, these technicians get to know your vehicle over the years, understanding your daily commute and determining what will increase your vehicle’s longevity.
For over 30 years, Sullivans Two Unlimited has been a part of the Baraboo community. We now have a second and third generation of customers as fathers and mothers have told their sons and daughters, grandchildren of their faith in Sullivan’s Two repair work and honesty.
